Activities have played a large part in the development of dude ranching. Much like everything else, the activities on dude ranches have changed over time. But the main activities on western dude ranches have remained primarily the same.

Although we stress that horseback riding is the main activity here, don’t be worried that you’ll be bored once the ride is over. If you still have energy how about borrowing one of our mountain bikes to explore the property or follow one of the marked trails in the State Park? You can hike the hill country to your heart’s content and when you’re on the ranch, feel free to look for amazing fossils.

We have an abundance of wildlife year round and plenty of wildflowers during the spring months. Go birding and walk the property at dusk to see white tail deer, jack rabbits, cottontails, wild turkeys and too many small critters to list.

We don’t believe in timetabling fun into our days! Use our facilities anytime you like and make the place your home for the duration of your stay. If you want to do something fairly energetic with your free time here we have swimming, horseshoe pitching, ping pong and badminton.

While away the after dark hours with a campfire or go for a late night swim. We have a picnic area under the live oaks and ambient solar lights at the beautiful swimming pool where you can recline and talk about your day. Rediscover how it feels to spend an evening just relaxing and let the stress of everyday life melt away. Once you’ve seen our stars, you’ll never want to get back to the bright lights.
